FINANCE MANAGEMENT (Bookkeeping)
The fundamental failure of any business is often down to a lack of or poor cashflow. FTRE Finance Management works with you to look at current and future cashflow by using historical events together with evolving business plans.
Having worked with SME’s for over 20 years’ on their accounts, we offer support with cashflows and budgets to enable you to better understand the financial position of your business.
FTRE works with you the client to find the best way to ensure your finances are kept up to date enabling you to have a snapshot of the business at any time.
Business development is fluid and ever changing. Even with the best business plans there are always areas that crop up unexpectedly and a good cashflow can help you through that.
We start you off with budgets so you can identify areas of high and low expenditure and you can then plan expenditure against income. This often leads to a review of your suppliers to get better deals or increasing your prices to improve your margins. By having a good budget and cashflow forecast you can check progress on a monthly or quarterly basis so no nasty surprises at the year end!
We will look to see if projects and cost centres would help you to better evaluate sections of your business. The more informed you are the better the decisions are that you can make – remember you went in to business in what you are an expert in and if this isn’t accounts let someone else take on this task while you spend more family time or make more sales.

Whether you’re a beginner, launching your start-up business, or an experienced user looking for more control over your reporting. Feel confident in how to manage your finances and get results from your accounts with our personalised training service.
All training given is bespoke to your specific needs. Firstly, we meet with you for a free 1-hour consultation to fully understand the level of accounts and payroll experience you already have to get a benchmark from where to start with the training.
Book in your free consultation by emailing info@ftre.co.uk
If you have no accounts experience, we will first offer basic accounts training in profit and loss, balance sheet, nominal codes and bank reconciliation so you understand exactly what your accounts software is doing when you enter the information. We will discuss with you what it is you want and need to achieve from the account, then we will write a training programme based on your particular requirements. Ideally, we like to deliver training in your place of work so you are working on live data and with information that makes sense to you. Training can be offered over half days if preferred.
These are powerful accounts packages with many reports already created to give you the information you need to run successful accounts however there are areas of the reports that can be edited to be more specific to your company’s requirements – we can assist you with these also.
Training is an essential part of investing in any accounts package as without it you could end up with a mess at year-end which your accountant will charge extra to unravel. You could also end up thinking you are making less or more profit than you really are. Think of it like making a cake – just having the ingredients is not enough, you need the recipe to know how to put it all together to get the final result.
We also offer training to SME owners and directors with no accounts experience to get a better understanding of what a PNL and balance sheet mean and how to best use the information to plan for your business going forward.
Based in Kettering we offer programmes in Wellingborough, Corby, Northants and other surrounding areas.
